I was concerned shortly afterwards that my vagus nerve might have been damaged but put it to the back of my mind and put my symptoms down to internal swelling. Since having the surgery my bowels have been inconsistent. I might not go every day but when I do go, I leave the bathroom feeling light headed and nauseous and have to take an anti sickness tablet. According to google (yes I know) damage to my vagus nerve can cause this symptom.
