Experience

Dusan Sekulic MD is a medical doctor practicing in the field of anesthesia and intensive care at the largest clinical center in Europe and second largest clinical center in the world, Clinical Center of Serbia. During studies he participated and organized numerous research programs on nationally and internationally. His special interest is neuroscience, so during the studies he was attending medical education program in the field of neurosurgery in Lisbon, Portugal under the supervision of the chief of the neurosurgery department. In addition, he assisted in conducting in number of pieces of research comparing the efficiency electroconvulsive therapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation and other forms of neuromodulation techniques, especially in patients with drug-resistant form of major depressive disorder.
Dr Sekulic takes a patient-centered and evidence-based approach to medicine. With a significant background in emergency and intensive care, he treats patients comprehensively, focusing his medical skill not only in improving physical health of the patients, but also mental health, which is at least equally important, if not more.

Education

Dr. Sekulic completed his medical degree at Faculty of Medical Sciences in Serbia. Due to his particular interest in neuroscience, he attended medical exchange program widening his knowledge in the fidld of neurosurgery in Lisbon, Portugal, completing his program under supervision of the chief of neurosurgery. After obtaining his medical degree he started working in the field of anesthesia and intensive care, managing the patient who require most demanding care and advance life support including mechanical ventilation.
