Alert Codes

Understand the Alert Codes shown on your Vagus.net tVNS Stimulator.

ALERT
861

Alert 861:

Resistance Too High

Error Code 861 means the electrical resistance measured between the two electrodes in the clip is too high to perform tVNS.

Error 861 indicates an extremely high resistance i.e. >60kOhm

ALERT
862

Alert 862:

Very High Resistance

Error Code 862 means the electrical resistance measured between the two electrodes in the clip is very high and preventing the stimulator from increasing to the target current.

Error 862

ALERT
863

Alert 863:

High Resistance

Error Code 863 means the electrical resistance measured between the two electrodes in the clip is preventing the device from reaching the maximum stimulation intensity.  The device constantly measures the resistance, and increases the voltage to try and reach the selected intensity. But if the resistance is too high, there is a safety limit on the voltage that it will not exceed. Alert 863 means you are unable to reach maximum, but not far off.

Error 863

ALERT
864

Alert 864:

Faulty Ear Clip

Error Code 864 indicates that the device has detected a fault in the ear clip electrodes or cable. Contact support for a replacement under warranty or purchase a new one in the shop.

Error 864

ALERT
865

Alert 865:

Empty Battery

Error Code 865 indicates that the battery is empty and requires charging.  Using only the supplied charging cable connect your device to a USD power output to recharge
